This superior 1914-D Saint Gaudens $20 Gold Double Eagle, has been graded Choice MS63 by NGC! This Denver minted dazzler has impressive eye-appeal, blazing original mint luster, and beautiful surfaces that exhibit a rich, brilliant shine. The devices are crisp and powerfully struck with significant detail throughout. Exquisite to behold and illuminated with a lustrous glow, this is an impressive Double Eagle that is sure to please even the most discerning investors and collectors.

In 1914, the Denver mint produced a LOW ORIGINAL MINTAGE of a mere 453,00 Gold Double Eagles. Mint State specimens from this mintage are scarce in any grade and highly sought-after by collectors.

Additionally, MS63 graded coins have maintained higher levels of ‘average annual return on investment’ than lower graded Mint State coins. According to the well respected Lombra Study commissioned by the U.S. Congress, the average annual returns from 1979-2008 were between 11.5% and 13.4% for coins graded between MS63-64 year over year! That's higher than any other traditional investment tool including stocks, bonds, t-bills, savings accounts, savings bonds, and so on; making this MS63 gold coin a fantastic buy for the long term investor, too.

The coin pictured is the exact coin you will receive. A 1914-D Saint Gaudens $20 gold Double Eagle, graded MS63 by PCGS with Certification number 9165.63/20870307.
