This 1878-CC Morgan Dollar is a superbly detailed, boldly struck silver dollar, easily deserving the grade of Choice MS64 DPL from NGC.

The surfaces exhibit their original mint luster, especially prominent in the Deep Mirror Prooflike shine of the dazzling smooth fields. The devices are powerfully struck, resulting in exquisite fine detail in the strands of Lady Liberty’s hair and the individual feathers of the American eagle.

Deep Mirror Proof-like Morgans produced at the Carson City Mint are highly desirable and justifiably popular among coin enthusiasts. From an original 1878 Carson City mintage of over 2 million Morgans, current NGC census shows that ONLY 32 HAVE GRADED HIGHER, all at MS65 with an MS65 list value of over $9,000.
