U.S. Silver Coins

The U.S. Mint has a long history of producing silver coins. Some of its most notable historical coins — including the Morgan dollar, the Peace dollar, and the Walking Liberty half-dollar — are made from silver.

Today, the Mint produces a 1 oz. silver bullion coin— the American Silver Eagle — in business strike, proof, and burnished versions. These remain some of the bestselling U.S. silver investment coins for sale in our online store. However, if you'd like to diversify your portfolio, consider purchasing any of the products on this page. Our inventory changes regularly, and currently includes the following:

  • 1898 Barber Dime: The 1898 Barber dime is a rare U.S. coin — no more than 37 are known to exist today in PF67 condition or higher. The Numismatic Guaranty Corporation (NGC) has certified this Barber dime PF67. It features smooth fields, sharp devices, and excellent definition, with a bronze-tinged surface that is elegantly displayed in its sonically sealed holder. Though this piece has definite investment potential, it can also be the crown jewel in a serious collection of U.S. silver coins.

  • 2015 U.S. Marshalls Commemorative Set: We also have available the 2015 U.S. Marshall commemorative coin set. Each set consists of a $5 gold proof coin, a $1 silver proof, and a clad half dollar. All coins feature striking design details — a fitting tribute to American law enforcement on the 225th anniversary of the U.S. Marshall program. Purchase this set to diversify your portfolio or to display in your collection.

Investing in Silver

Silver is a precious metal with a long history of use as currency — today, its importance to manufacturing, jewelry making, and a wide range of industrial processes drives global demand. Because of its abundance, however, it is the most affordable precious metal, and a useful entry point to commodity investing.

Many experts believe a portfolio containing some precious metals is more resilient to market fluctuations over time. If you're interested in investing in silver, Mint State Gold can help. We've put together an extensive library of resources you can browse and learn more about the pros and cons of buying precious metals. If you'd like assistance putting together a package of products tailored to your financial goals, call our office or contact us online today.
