A Strong U.S. Dollar Index Isn't Affecting Gold
GOLD
Gold has traded today between $1,854 and $1,868 per ounce, as it continues to build that important base for the next leg higher, above $1,874. The strong U.S. Dollar Index, above 95, isn’t having negative effects on the Gold demand. At 11am PT today, Gold is trading at $1,863 per ounce, down $6 on normal volume.
SILVER
Silver is having a difficult time staying above the key $25 level. But, demand for the many popular Silver investment items continues to keep the premium high. At 11am PT today, Silver is down $0.21 per ounce, trading at $24.97 on average volume.
