Gold on defensive with equity markets strong
With the U.S. Dollar index moving back over 90 and the equity markets strong, Gold has been on the defensive since the opening of the commodities markets overseas and here. Gold reached a low of $1,322 before finding strong buyers. At 11am PDT today, Gold is trading at $1,326 per ounce, down $11 per ounce on normal volume.
Silver followed Gold lower, reaching $16.15 per ounce before finding buyers. Surprisingly, Silver is up today, in the face of Gold being down $11. At 11am PDT today, Silver is up $0.05 per ounce, trading at $16.36 on average volume.
