Gold fluctuating on buying and selling

GOLD

Gold reached a high of $1,354 in early trading today. When sellers appeared, the price couldn’t stay above the key $1,350 level. When it broke below the $1,350 level, short-selling hit the market, driving the price down to $1,340 very quickly. At that price strong buying appeared and took the price higher. At 11am PDT today, Gold is trading at $1,347 per ounce, down $4 on active volume.

SILVER

The Silver price was very impressive this morning. When Gold sold off, reaching $1,340 per ounce, Silver stayed above the key $17 per ounce level. Then, when Gold rallied back to $1,347 per ounce, Silver moved higher on the day, reaching $17.40 per ounce. At 11am PDT today, Silver is up $0.05 per ounce, trading at $17.25 on excellent volume.
