GOLD
The markets are quiet ahead of the holiday weekend. 10-year interest rates have sold-off, but the U.S. Dollar Index is over 94 (highest since 2011). Gold is trading in a narrow $6 high/low range, between $1,308 and $1,302 per ounce. At 11am PDT today, Gold is trading at $1,304 per ounce, down $1 on very light volume.
SILVER
For most of today’s light trading, Silver has stayed above the $16.50 per ounce level. The Iranian and North Korean issues are causing major demand for physical Gold/Silver investment products, primarily in Asian and Middle Eastern countries. At 11am PDT today, Silver is down $0.10 per ounce, trading at $16.55 on very light volume.
