GOLD
Gold opened lower this morning, based on a stronger U.S. Dollar in overnight trading. The U.S. Dollar rallied after the result of the UK election, when the British Pound dropped dramatically. Gold reached a low of $1,265 before strong buying appeared, taking it back to above $1,270. At 11am PDT today, Gold is down $6 per ounce, trading at $1,271 on normal volume.
SILVER
When Gold sold-off, Silver broke below its recent support and reached a low of $17.18 before bargain buyers appeared. During the past two trading days, Silver has declined at a larger percentage than Gold, driving up the Silver/Gold ratio to 73.75-to-1. At 11am PDT today, Silver is trading at $17.24, down $0.21 on average volume.
