Gold rises on short covering and bargain buying


Short covering and bargain buying has caused Gold to rise slightly in early US trading. Investors will be waiting on news from the FOMC meeting which ends tomorrow with an announcement regarding interest rates. At 11am PDT today, Gold is trading at $1,225, up $2 on slightly above average volume.


Silver is also feeling the effects of the last trading day of the month with some short covering. At 11am PDT today, Silver is trading at $15.60, up $0.04 on average volume.
