U.S. Dollar Index Now Above 96

GOLD

After reaching the break-out price of $1,240 per ounce yesterday, Gold is seeing some short-term selling this morning. That decline is driven by a strong U.S. Dollar Index, now above 96, near 2-year highs. At 11am PDT today, Gold is trading at $1,230 per ounce, down $3.50 on average volume.

SILVER

Silver sold off with Gold, hitting a low of $14.63 before finding fresh buying. At 11am PDT today, Silver is down $0.08 per ounce, trading at $14.68 on normal volume.
