U.S. domestic retail sales data for June came in better than expected, which caused selling in the precious metal markets. Gold has temporarily broken below the key $1,800 level, reaching a low of $1,795 per ounce. At 11am PT today, Gold is trading at $1,798 per ounce, down $14 on light volume.
SILVER
Silver tested the $19.00 per ounce support level, reaching a low of $19.06 before finding fresh buying. Demand and premiums remain strong on the popular physical Silver investment items. At 11am PT today, Silver is down $0.17 per ounce, trading at $19.20 on good volume.
