GOLD

It is normal to see trading lighten as we enter the week before Christmas and the Wall Street professionals begin to take time off. For this reason, it is nice to see Gold up slightly today, though the activity is at a lower volume than normal. At 11am PST today, Gold is trading at $1,138, up $3 on lower than average trading volume.

SILVER

It appears that Silver is fighting to establish a base at $16 per ounce, with the bulls and bears battling each other in today’s trading. I expect to see the bulls win in the long run, but it allows Silver to be an attractive deal as we enter into the last few days before holiday buying ends. At 11am PST today, Silver is trading at $15.97, down $0.20 on below average volume.
