Daily Market Report 05/19/14

GOLD

Gold broke above the key $1,300 per ounce level this morning. However, it didn’t have enough support to protect against a selloff when reports hit the market that Russian President Putin ordered troops near the Ukraine border to return to their bases. At 11am PDT today, Gold is trading at $1,293 per ounce, unchanged from Friday’s close.

SILVER

Silver traded most of the day in a thin price range on light volume. At 11am PDT today, silver is up $0.08 per ounce, trading at $19.38 on light volume.
