GOLD
Gold traded lower today, as the U.S. dollar rallied versus the Euro ahead of the Federal Reserve’s upcoming policy meeting, amid growing uncertainty over the future of the central bank’s monetary stimulus program.
At 11am PDT Today, Gold is trading at $1,325 per ounce, down $3 on light trading.
SILVER
Today, Silver traded in a narrow 2% range from $19.54 on the low to $19.94 on the high. Silver continues to have a difficult time getting back above the $20 per ounce resistance level.
At 11am PDT today, Silver is down $0.18 per ounce, trading at $19.73 per ounce on light trading.
The U.S. Mint reported today a 93.5% increase in U.S. Silver Eagle sales in July of 2013. In July 2013 the U.S. mint sold 4,406,500 1oz Silver Eagles compared to 2,278,000 in July of 2012.
