Mixed News From China Keeping Gold In A Tight Range

For most of the day Gold has traded between $1,462 to $1,472 on news from China staying mixed. China’s top trade negotiator Liu He has invited his U.S. counterparts — U.S. Trade Representative Robert Lighthizer and Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin — for a new round of face-to-face talks in Beijing. But, bills passed by the U.S. Congress this week in support of Hong Kong protesters and other roadblocks may delay any trade deal. At 11am PT today, Gold is down $1 per ounce, trading at $1,464 on normal weekend volume.

SILVER

Silver reached a low of $16.96 in light trading earlier today in Asian and European markets. For most of today’s trading Silver has remained above the key $17 support/resistance level. At 11am PT today, Silver is trading at $17.03 per ounce, down $0.06 on light volume.
