U.S Dollar Uptick Affects Gold and Silver
GOLD
Gold tested the $1,800 per ounce support level this morning, reaching a low of $1,797 before quickly rallying back. An uptick in the U.S. Dollar, and some year-end profit-taking put a damper on Gold prices today. At 11am PT today, Gold is trading at $1,804 per ounce, down $14 on average volume.
SILVER
Silver sold off when Gold broke below $1,800, reaching a low of $23.48 before seeing bargain buyers. Breaking back below $24 isn’t healthy short-term for Silver, but we still have two more trading days till year-end. At 11am PT today, Silver is down $0.58, trading at $23.54 on average volume.
