Uncertainty Before CPI and PPI Numbers Released

Gold is trading in a narrow $10 high/low range today between $1,726 and $1,736 on light volume. Many commodity traders are waiting to tomorrow and Thursday to see the numbers coming from the CPI (Consumer Price Index) and PPI (Producer Price Index). The results of these indicators will help them make trading decisions. At 11am PT today, Gold is trading at $1,728 per ounce, down $8 on light volume.

SILVER

Silver reached a low of $18.72 in late Asian trading last night. The price quickly bounced back in European trading, reaching a high of $19.24 before seeing light selling. Below the $19 level is a very attractive price area for many aggressive Silver investors. At 11am PT today, Silver is down $0.16 per ounce, trading at $19.04 on good volume.
