Description

Inspired by Australia's most famous marsupial, these 24 KT, .9999 fine Gold Brilliant Uncirculated (BU) bullion coins are produced at the Perth Mint in Western Australia.

The coin pictured is a representation of our BU Australian Gold Kangaroo coins. The dates of the coins you receive will vary. Mint State Gold selects the dates you will receive and feels confident you will be very pleased with the selections.

The annual revision of the kangaroo image appearing on the reverse (back side) adds a special collectible appeal to these beautiful Gold bullion coins. As on most Australian Gold coins, the obverse bears the image of Queen Elizabeth II, designed by Ian Rank-Broadley.

The first Kangaroo Gold coins were struck in 1990, replacing the Australian Gold Nugget bullion coin, and they continued to carry the word 'Nugget' engraved on the obverse (front side) of them until 2008. Struck by the Perth Mint from 99.99% pure Gold, each Kangaroo Gold coin is issued as legal tender in Australia under the Australian Currency Act of 1965.
