Perfect for world gold collections, these British Queen Victoria Veiled Head Gold Sovereigns each contain .2355 ounces pure gold and each one is in Brilliant Uncirculated (BU) condition and dated pre-1933. Mint State Gold selects the date(s) you receive and feels confident that you will be very pleased with the selections.

The Queen Victoria Veiled Head Gold Sovereigns were first introduced in 1893 and continued until 1901. The obverse (front side) features a left facing bust of a mature Queen Victoria wearing a veil. The reverse (back side) design features Saint George slaying a dragon as designed by a brilliant young Italian engraver, Benedetto Pistrucci. This beautiful classic design remains on the gold sovereigns today, almost two hundred years later.

This coin is beautiful and in perfect condition. It's particularly exciting because I've never had gold coins other than U.S. pre-33 coins.
