Recognized globally as one of the leading world bullion coins, The Gold Panda coin series is one of the most collectible of the bullion coins.

Beginning in 2016, China decided to convert the Panda series precious metal weights to the metric system. Therefore, as of 2016, these 500 Yuan Gold Pandas are now minted in 30 gram size, rather than the 1 ounce size that was done up through 2015. All of the Gold Pandas are still produced from .999 purity 24 karat gold.

Unlike other bullion coins, Chinese Gold Panda coins are not issued by the millions. Many dates have very low mintages of fewer than 50,000 coins. Domestic and worldwide demand has shown that supply has barely been sufficient to meet demand during many years, resulting in a considerable premium for key date Chinese Panda coins.

Featuring a highly detailed artistic rendering of “The Temple of Heaven” on the obverse, the reverse boasts an adorable new Panda design almost every year.

The coin pictured is an example of our 30 gram 500 Yuan Gold Panda coins in Brilliant Uncirculated (BU) condition. The dates of the coins you receive may vary and you may receive identical and/or different dates based upon stock on hand at the time your order is placed.
