Here is a 2014 200 Yuan Gold Panda that has graded an impressive MS70 by PCGS and is certified First Strike. This 1/2 oz Gold Chinese Panda has gorgeous, smooth surfaces and razor-sharp devices.

This 2014 Gold Panda features the Temple of Heaven on the reverse and a panda holding a bamboo branch on the obverse.

First Strike coins are produced using the first dies forged by the Mint for a particular series. The use of these first dies typically results in a higher quality strike and finer details. A coin must be proven to have been released by the Mint within the first 30 days of issue in order to be designated First Strike. Only a limited quantity of coins will be classified First Strikes during any production run, making them prized among collectors and investors for their increased scarcity and added beauty.
