Description

Presenting a 1976 Austria Gold 1000 Schilling commemorative coin in BU (Brilliant Uncirculated) condition. This beautiful Gold coin contains .3906 ounces of Gold and commemorates the Millennium of the Babenberg Dynasty (976-1976). The devices are sharply struck and the fields are smooth. The original mint luster gleams off of gorgeous golden surfaces.

The obverse design depicts the Imperial Shield of Austria on the breast of a two headed eagle that is holding a hammer and a sickle. The reverse features the Seal of Duke Friedrich II, the last ruler of the Babenberg House, within a circle and the dates 976-1976 above.
