A Strong U.S. Dollar Continues To Pressure Gold

A 3-month high in the U.S. Dollar Index has put pressure on the Gold price today. Gold traded to a high of $1,795 per ounce before seeing selling caused by the raise in the U.S. Dollar. Gold traded between $1,780 and $1,795 today, showing excellent support and demand. At 11am PT today, Gold is trading at $1,785 per ounce, down $2 on good volume.

SILVER

Silver reached a high of $23.99 per ounce in early morning trading in Asia. That was the first attempt to break the key $24 support/resistance level. Silver’s trading range today was between $23.55 and $23.99 per ounce. At 11am PT today, Silver is down $0.20, trading at $23.65 per ounce on average volume.
