CPI Report Helps Gold & Silver Rally
GOLD
The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics announced today that the Consumer Price Index (CPI) rose 0.4% in August.
The inflation data were in line with economists’ expectations, and Gold rallied from $4,300 to $4,385 per ounce.
At 11 am PT today, Gold is up $15 per ounce, at $4,365 on normal volume.
SILVER
Silver reached a low of $62.91 last night, but moved higher after the CPI report was released.
Silver needs to move back above $65 per ounce early next week to stay bullish.
At 11 am PT today, Silver is trading at $64.50, up $0.75 on normal volume.
