On the last day of the year, the Gold price did reach a high of $1,901 per ounce, but couldn’t hold that level. However, for the year Gold did increase $373 per ounce (24.5%), the highest increase since 2010. 2021 continues to look good with a weaker dollar (89.93) and continued printing of paper money worldwide. At 11 am PT today, Gold is trading at $1,893 per ounce, up $3 on light volume.

SILVER

The Silver price had a great year also, up $8.47 per ounce (47.5%), closing at $26.30 per ounce and the highest level since April of 2013. We haven’t seen the final worldwide mintage numbers of the most popular physical Silver investment items, but I believe they will excess previous record highs. At 11 am PT today, silver was down $0.17 per ounce. trading at $26.30 on light volume.
