GOLD
Gold and Silver prices have firmed above recent lows this morning, holding their ground as treasury yields rose to almost 16-year highs as investors await the Federal Reserve’s Jackson Hole Symposium taking place later this week. A dip in the U.S. Dollar Index has also provided some relief to the metals market today.
At 11am PT today, Gold is trading at $1,897.83 per ounce, up $3.05.
SILVER
Silver prices have bounced this week, hitting their highest level in two weeks and finding firm footing above the $23 support level. Silver seems to be recovering from last week’s lows despite a quieter-than-usual marketplace as investors await the Fed’s late-week meeting.
At 11am PT today, Silver is trading at $23.42 per ounce, up $0.12.
