Gold And Silver Holding In A Tight Trading Range

This morning the jobs and labor turnover survey (JOLTS) report showed the number of available jobs in the U.S. unexpectedly grew in May, signaling resilience in the nation’s labor market. According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, job openings jumped higher to 8.14 million in May from 7.91 million in April. Economists had expected openings would fall to around 7.9 million. Gold sold-off on this news in light trading, reaching a low of $2,318 before bouncing back.

At 11am PT today, Gold is trading at $2,324 per ounce, down $5 on light trading volume.

SILVER

Because of the holiday week, Silver is trading in a tight range today.

At 11am PT today, Silver is up $0.07 per ounce, trading at $29.36 on light volume.
