Gold and Silver Move in Europe and U.S. Trading
GOLD
Gold reached a high of $1,887 in Asian trading before rolling into European and U.S. markets. During late trading in Europe and opening in the U.S., there was sizeable profit taking, driving down the Gold price to $1,867 per ounce. Both interest rates and the U.S. Dollar are trading in a narrow range, giving no direction to precious metal prices. At 11am PT today, Gold is up $2 per ounce, trading at $1,877 on average volume.
SILVER
Silver moved back over $24 in Asian trading, but quickly sold-off when the Gold price declined. For the most part of today’s trading, Silver stayed between $23.25 and $23.76 per ounce on light volume. At 11am PT today, Silver is trading at $23.45 per ounce, down $0.15 on light volume.
