Gold Briefly Moves Above $2,700 Per Ounce

GOLD

This morning, the U.S. Bureau of Labor and Statistics reported that December's non-farm payrolls jumped by 256,000 jobs, up from 212,000 in November. Gold prices were not affected negatively by this news and continued to rise. Gold reached a high today of $2,709 per ounce in late European trading based on the uncertainty over the coming policies of President-elect, Donald Trump.
At 11am PT today, Gold is trading at $2,690 per ounce, up $20 on the day with excellent volume.

SILVER

Silver briefly moved above $31 today when Gold was trading at its highs. Silver continues to build a firm base above $30 worldwide.
At 11am PT today, Silver is up $0.20 per ounce, trading at $30.32 on strong demand.
