Gold Moves Above $2,700 On Lower U.S. Dollar

GOLD

The U.S. Dollar Index sold-off this morning reaching a low under 109, which helped to bring in fresh Gold buyers. Gold broke above the key $2,700 per ounce resistance level and reached a high of $2,723 before seeing some profit-taking.

At 11am PT today, Gold is trading at $2,716 per ounce, up $24 on good volume.

SILVER

The Silver price moved higher with Gold today, briefly breaking the $31 per ounce resistance level. Silver trading was very active today with some short selling when it reached $31 per ounce.

At 11am PT today, Silver is trading at $30.77 per ounce, up $0.12 on excellent volume.
