Gold Moves Back Above $2,900 On Strong Tariff Demand

Concerns about Trump's new tariffs have driven U.S. equities and the U.S. Dollar lower and precious metals higher. The Gold price moved back above $2,900 per ounce and reached a high this morning in London trading of $2,928 before seeing light selling in the U.S. Market. Tonight’s State of the Union speech by Trump should provide some fireworks for tomorrow.

At 11am PT today, Gold is up $20, trading at $2,908 per ounce on excellent volume.

SILVER

Silver rallied with Gold in Europe, moving back above the key $32 level and reaching a high of $32.06 before seeing short-term profit-taking. Premiums on many of the popular Silver investment coins and bars has stabilized over the past few weeks.

At 11am PT today, Silver is trading at $31.82 per ounce, up $0.07 on strong volume.
