Gold Peaks At $2,005 In Overnight Trading
GOLD
In overnight trading the Gold price ranged from $1,961 to $2,005 per ounce, as Ukraine news was released. Based on whether there is a united Russian oil boycott, the price of oil traded between $115 and $130 per barrel today. This morning, the equity markets continue to move lower, while Gold is seeing higher prices. At 11am PT today, Gold is trading at $1,996 per ounce, up $28 on excellent volume.
SILVER
When Gold traded over $2,000 last night, the price of Silver reached a high of $26.15 per ounce. Silver quickly sold off when Gold moved back below $1,990 per ounce, reaching a low last night of $25.26 on heavy trading volume. What I’m seeing is that issues that directly affect serious inflation are causing high volatility in the Silver price. At 11am PT today, Silver is down $0.05 per ounce, trading at $25.69 on normal volume.
