Gold Rallies To New All-Time Record High Of $2,555

The August Producer Price Index (PPI) was released today, showing a 1.7% annual increase, down from the 2.1% increase in July. This news confirms that U.S. interest rates will be lowered next week. Gold rallied on this news, jumping $36 to over $2,550 per ounce, a new All-Time record high.

At 11am PT today, Gold is trading at $2,551 per ounce, up $37, a new All-Time record high on excellent volume.

SILVER

Silver moved higher on the PPI news, reaching a high of $29.93 before seeing some light short-term profit taking by traders.
