Gold & Silver Showing Lots Of Price Volatility
GOLD
I saw highly volatile trading last night and this morning. After New York closed, the gold price steadily moved higher in Australia, Hong Kong, and India, reaching a high of $4,180 per ounce.
When trading started in London, there was sizeable selling, driving the price down to $4,090 before the buyers came back.
As the gold market moved into the U.S, trading calmed down and the price started trading at $4,135 per ounce.
At 11 am PT today, gold is up $33 per ounce, at $4,145 on average volume.
SILVER
With the silver short-squeeze continuing to hit many of the world’s commodity markets, silver was crazy in overnight trading.
Silver trading reached a high of $53.56 per ounce in India before dropping over $3 per ounce in London trading.
Last night’s low was $50.41 per ounce, before seeing strong buying in the U.S. markets.
At 11 am PT today, silver is down $0.20 per ounce, trading at $51.70 on heavy volume.
