Gold to End Year In A 19% Increase, Silver At 16%

Gold rallied $10 an ounce in in early Asian trading reaching a high of $1,525 before seeing year-end profit taking. Gold has held some of the increase in European and U.S. trading. It appears that Gold will end 2019 in the $1,520 range, a 19% increase for the year. At 11am PT today, Gold is trading at $1,520 per ounce, up $5 on normal volume.

SILVER

Silver rallied to $18.11 per ounce in early Asian trading and sold off when the markets opened in Europe and the U.S. This was Silver’s second attempt to break the key $18 level this month.
Hopefully, the next attempt, after New Year, will be a successful breakout. It appears that Silver will end 2019 in the $17.90 range, a 16% increase for the year. At 11am PT today, silver is trading at $17.88 per ounce, down $0.03 on normal volume.
