Higher Dollar Index Drops Gold Below Support Level

This morning higher interest rates and U.S. Dollar Index (92.36) has put pressure on the Gold price, reaching a new 2021 low of $1,678 per ounce. Gold found support at $1,680 this morning as the U.S. market opened. At 11am PT today, Gold is trading at $1,682 down $15 on heavy volume.

SILVER

The Silver price moved above the $25 level and has stayed there for most of today’s trading. Demand for many of the popular physical Silver investment items has gotten stronger worldwide as the price dropped. At 11am PT today, Silver is unchanged, trading at $25.20 on sizeable volume.
