Gold is trading in a narrow range today, awaiting a Fed issued statement this afternoon, after the Federal Open Market Committee's meeting on future policy ends. Fed Chairman Powell will hold a press conference and normally take questions. Traders are hoping to hear indicators that the world’s central bank will curtail the recent raise in the Treasury rates. At 11am PT today, Gold is trading at $1,729 per ounce, down $2 on average volume.

SILVER

Silver has been trading today above and below the key $26 level, awaiting this afternoon’s news. Demand for popular Silver bullion items has not slowed down, and premiums remain strong. At 11am PT Today, Silver is up $0.12 per ounce, trading at $26.02 on normal volume.
