Silver Holds Strong as Equity Markets and Bitcoin Set New Lows
GOLD
Gold remains on the defensive, reaching a low of $1,660, with the Federal Reserve meeting scheduled for tomorrow. The U.S. Dollar Index moved back above 110, and 10-Year Treasuries hitting a 10-Year high of 3.60%. Gold is still holding in its recent trading range, as equity markets and bitcoin set new lows. At 11am PT today, Gold is trading at $1,666 per ounce, down $5 on normal volume.
SILVER
Even with the recent weakness in the Gold and other financial markets, Silver continues to hold above $19 per ounce. Silver demand worldwide remains strong, with premiums holding near their highs. At 11am PT today, Silver is down $0.14 per ounce at $19.23 on average volume.
