Silver Leads Precious Metals Moving Over $37
GOLD
The U.S. Commerce Department reported today that May Retail sales fell 0.9%, the largest decline this year. The drop is a sign that consumers are concerned about tariffs and what is happening to the U.S. economy. Gold didn’t react to his news and has traded today between $3,364 and $3,404, as we see some light profit-taking.
At 11am PT today, Gold is trading at $3,390 per ounce, down $2 on average volume.
SILVER
Silver reached a high this morning of $37.31 on the a short-covering rally. Silver is showing excellent demand around the globe as it works its way to $40 per ounce.
At 11am PT today, Silver is up $0.75 per ounce, trading at $37.10 on excellent volume.
