Silver Leads The Precious Metal Sector Today

GOLD

Gold traded below the $2,650 resistance level today on profit-taking and a stronger dollar. However, it remained near recent record highs, supported by the escalation of conflicts in the Middle East. Gold traded today between $2,644 and $2,664, consolidating recent gains and building a firm base for a move to $2,700 later this month.
At 11am PT today, Gold is trading at $2,651 per ounce, down $10 on excellent volume.

SILVER

Silver sold off on Gold’s early weakness, breaking below the $31 level, then on Gold’s recovery, briefly moved above $32 per ounce. Demand for physical Silver continues to grow worldwide, and the price will reflect that.
At 11am PT today, Silver is up $0.30 per ounce, trading at $31.75 on strong volume.
