Silver Over $50 & Gold Breaking Above $4,100

GOLD

In overnight trading, Gold started in Australia, where it moved above $4,000 per ounce and was moving higher. After Gold trading opened in China, it moved above $4,040 on news that the Senate had reached an agreement to reopen the government. Then Gold continued moving higher, reaching $4,070 on excellent trading volume. As Gold trading moved to India, London, and New York, it hit a high of $4,110 per ounce.

At 11am PT today, Gold is up $105, trading at $4,110 on excellent volume.

SILVER

In overnight trading, Silver opened in China at $48.66 per ounce, then after news of the Senate reaching an agreement to open the government, Gold started moving above $49 per ounce as trading round on. As Silver trading moved into India, London, and New York, it reached a high of $50.38 per ounce.

At 11am PT today, Silver is trading at $50.42 per ounce, up $2.08 on excellent volume.
