Trading volume in the CME Gold market picked up today as Gold actually broke above the $1,480 per ounce level. Gold still needs to start the year-end rally, but demand continues to be light. At 11am PT today, Gold is trading at $1,481 per ounce, up $6 on light volume.

SILVER

Silver spent most of today’s trading day above the key $17 per ounce resistance level, reaching a high of $17.10. At 11am PT today, Silver is trading at $17.12 per ounce, up $0.12 on average light volume.
