U.S. Dollar Index Moves Higher Putting The Pressure On Gold

This morning the U.S. Dollar Index is still moving higher, trading at 108.82, and 10-Year Treasuries moved back above 3%. Both of these issues continues to put pressure on Gold, reaching a low of $1,727 before finding bargain buying. At 11am PT today, Gold is trading at $1,737 per ounce, down $10 from Friday’s close on average volume.
SILVER
Silver has shaken off a low Gold price and a strong dollar to move back above $19 per ounce. After reaching a low of $18.70, as Gold sold-off, Silver has rallied back on heavy buying interest.At 11am PT today, Silver is trading is down $0.13 per ounce, trading at $19.02 on normal volume.
