U.S. Dollar Index Reaches Highest It’s Been In Over 20 Years
GOLD
The U.S. Dollar Index continued to move higher today, reaching 108.22, the highest it’s been in over 20 years. The strength in the U.S. Dollar has caused Gold to break below the important 1,750 support level, reaching a low of $1,746 per ounce. At 11am PT today, Gold is trading at $1,750.45 per ounce, down $7.55 on normal volume.
SILVER
Silver also tested its key support level today, based on the strength in the U.S. Dollar. Silver reached a low of $18.99 before quickly bouncing back to $19.15. At 11am PT today, Silver is down $0.45 per ounce, at $19.15 on average volume.
