This WWII Brilliant Uncirculated Set of 11 1942-1945 Silver Jefferson Nickels from the Philadelphia, San Francisco, and Denver mints is beautiful and have a rich history attached to them. Here are some words from our Founder Barry Stuppler about the history of this set.

"In 1971, I sold a Brilliant Uncirculated roll set of 1942-45PDS War Nickels to a collector. That collector spent a few days going through all the rolls picking out the best coin in each roll. He looked for Full Steps and picked out the nicest coin in each roll. He sold the other 39 sets in flips, but put the nicest set in this special Silver War Nickel holder.

About 4-5 coins have Full Steps. None of the coins were cleaned and are all from the original BU mint roll (I sold them to him). As an officer in World War II, this set was very important to this collector, and his widow has asked me not to break up the set.
