These $2.50 Gold Liberty Quarter Eagles are Preferred Dates with a Mint State grade of Gem MS65 from either PCGS or NGC. Preferred Dates for the $2.50 Liberty coins range from 1900 - 1907 struck at the Philadelphia mint. Mint State Gold selects the dates you receive and feels confident that you will be very pleased with the selections.

Magnificent MS65 coins, these breathtaking jewels are very well-struck, with razor-sharp devices standing out prominently against virtually-unblemished, satin-smooth fields. The surfaces are pristine with a tremendous amount of brilliant, original luster. These gem-graded coins have great eye-appeal and are truly some of the finer examples of the grade.

Back in 1834, the U.S. Mint began a search for a suitable design that could serve as an enduring symbol on American Gold coins and officials continued to press for a symbol of Liberty more befitting the growing Republic. By 1838, Christian Gobrecht's Coronet design for the eagle took center stage, and a version of this, in keeping with the Mint's penchant for uniformity, was used on the Quarter Eagle starting in 1840.

The $2.50 Liberty Quarter Eagle Gold coins are beautiful specimens of historic American coinage.
