This is a remarkable 1907 Saint Gaudens, graded MS63+ by PCGS. Sitting at the very top of its grade, this Philadelphia minted Gold Double Eagle is an incredible example from the FIRST YEAR OF ISSUE. With nicely struck devices and lovely details this Saint has quite the attractive eye-appeal. In addition, this Double Eagle has an impressive amount of original mint luster.

Minted from 1907-1933, the $20 gold coin known as the St. Gaudens Double Eagle is considered by many to be the most beautiful type of U.S. coin ever minted. A favorite among investors and collectors, coins from this series have historically continued to appreciate due to their significant role in U.S. history, attractiveness to collectors, and brilliant gold content.

More than half a century after production ceased on the magnificent gems, the U.S. mint bestowed an incredible honor upon The Saint-Gaudens Double Eagle in 1986 when they decided to place the design on the obverse (front) of the American Eagle gold bullion coin, the United States #1 gold coin produced today!
