Presenting a 1907 Saint Gaudens, graded MS63 from PCGS. This St Gaudens from the first year of issue, features devices that are nicely struck, well defined details and lustrous fields; the satiny surfaces of this Saint are uniformly colored a terrific honey-amber hue.

Minted from 1907-1933, these $20 gold coins, known as St. Gaudens Double Eagles are considered by many to be the most beautiful type of U.S. coin ever minted. Augustus Saint-Gaudens was the first sculptor to ever design an American coin. Production of the Saint-Gaudens Double Eagle coins continued from 1907 until 1933, with a brief two year hiatus from 1917-1918.

More than half a century after production ceased on the magnificent gems, the U.S. mint bestowed an incredible honor upon The Saint-Gaudens Double Eagle in 1986 when they decided to place the design on the obverse (front) of the American Eagle gold bullion coin, the United States #1 gold coin produced today!
