This tremendous Saint Gaudens is an ultra high-grade coin AND a very popular "No Motto" variety from the Wells Fargo Nevada Gold Collection. The condition of this 1908 Saint Gaudens is beyond gem, it is ABSOLUTELY SUPERB. This 1908 $20 Saint Gaudens "No Motto" gold coin has been graded a very high MS68 by PCGS. The devices are sharp, crisp, well-struck, and sharply contrasted; the fields are exceptionally smooth and creamy with brilliant original mint luster. The entire coin has a uniform straw-yellow golden glow. A rarity for the issue, this specimen is a product of the first half of 1908 when the motto "In God We Trust" was stricken from the design.

Current PCGS population reports show a very low population of only 99 graded MS68 and ONLY 10 GRADED HIGHER, all at MS69. We believe this MS68 Saint sits at the top-end of the MS68 category, and is as close to an MS69 as you can get without the $85,000 price tag.
