Description

This 1909/8 $20 Saint Gaudens is a splendid example of the only overdate in the Saint Gaudens series. It is graded choice MS64 by PCGS. The surfaces of this Gold Double Eagle are a beautiful honey-golden hue and shine with bight original mint luster. The devices are bold and the details are very well defined. This Saint has wonderful eye-appeal and is certainly worthy of any high end collection or registry set.

The 1909/8 Saint Gaudens is extremely collectible, as the only overdate variety, and can be difficult to find. Current PCGS population shows ONLY 28 graded higher than MS64, with list prices for the MS65 grade at $52,500.
